Canada Post partners with MoneyGram to provide relief funds for Alberta wildfire

Canada Post and MoneyGram are working together to distribute $1.6 million in relief funds recently granted by the Canadian government after a wildfire ravaged through Fort McMurray last month.

More than 1,700 money transfer checks issued by MoneyGram will be available for pick-up at Canada Post locations. Donations to the Red Cross can be made at MoneyGram.com.

Canada Post has also co-ordinated a mail-forwarding service for displaced residents of Fort McMurray, Anzac and Fort MacKay. Residents can visit canadapost.ca/mailforward or any Canada Post location to sign up.
