Canada Post is celebrating the holiday season with two beautifully crafted stamp issues that capture the joy, faith and imagination of the holidays.
Released Nov. 6, the 2025 Christmas stamp offers a warm and timeless take on the Nativity scene. Beneath the star of Bethlehem, the design shows Mary and Joseph with the infant Jesus while an angel announces the birth and the Magi approach in the distance. The gentle use of colour and light creates a sense of peace and reverence.
Illustrated by Bex Morley and printed by Colour Innovations, the issue includes a booklet of 12 Permanent domestic-rate stamps and an Official First Day Cover cancelled in Hope, B.C. – a fitting nod to the message of hope at the heart of the Nativity story.
Complementing the religious issue, Canada Post’s holiday storybook stamps celebrate friendship and festive cheer with a playful forest tale. A sly fox, a curious rabbit and two squirrels work together to decorate their woodland home, capturing the spirit of community that defines the holidays.
Designed by Kristine Do and illustrated by Alexandra Finkeldey, the series bursts with warmth and detail. It includes a booklet of 12 Permanent domestic-rate stamps, sheetlets of six U.S.- and six international-rate stamps, a souvenir sheet of three stamps, and a souvenir sheet Official First Day Cover cancelled in Fox Creek, Alberta, honouring the fox featured in the design.
Canada Post says the two issues continue a holiday tradition that began in 1964, using stamps to tell stories that unite Canadians through art, faith and imagination.
“These stamps remind us that the holidays are about connection – with our loved ones, our communities and the stories that inspire us,” said Canada Post.
