Royal Mail has released a special commemorative stamp collection celebrating the conclusion of Stranger Things, the popular science-fiction series produced by Netflix.
The release coincides with the arrival of the show’s final episode in the United Kingdom on New Year’s Day, bringing to a close a series that debuted in 2016 and grew into a global cultural phenomenon.
The stamp collection comprises 14 designs featuring key characters and imagery from the series. Ten stamps are issued across two sheets of five, while a miniature sheet of four stamps shows central characters Lucas, Will, Mike and Dustin riding bicycles — an image closely associated with the show’s early seasons.
Design elements throughout the issue reference both the “Right Side Up” and the “Upside Down,” the parallel worlds central to the storyline. These contrasting dimensions are distinguished through colour schemes and graphic treatments that reflect the tone of the series.
Each vertical pair of stamps corresponds to one of the show’s five seasons. Additional features are revealed under ultraviolet light, including hidden symbols and logos linked to Stranger Things, adding an interactive element for collectors.
The stamps were designed by British artist Kyle Lambert, whose illustrated posters became iconic promotional images for each season of the series.
Royal Mail said the issue celebrates both the distinctive visual style and the lasting appeal of Stranger Things, which followed a group of young friends in the fictional town of Hawkins, Ind., as they confronted supernatural forces crossing between dimensions.
