Longtime Canadian Stamp Dealers Association (CSDA) member Bill Longley will host his firm’s next major philatelic auction on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, featuring more than one million stamps from Canada and the British Commonwealth.
Longley Auctions’ Public Auction #31 will take place both live and online from the company’s Hamilton, Ont., offices at 210 Napier St. The October date marks a weekday change for the firm’s regular sale schedule, with bidding available in person, by advance submission, or live through Stamp Auction Network.
The sale spans a wide range of material and collecting interests. Early sections include Canadian bulk stamps, bulk covers and literature, followed by extensive offerings of Canadian postal history and classic Canadian issues. The British Commonwealth section runs from Aden to Hong Kong and continues from India through Zululand.
Among the featured highlights is Lot 288, described as a unique and exciting full lathework block of four of the 50-cent Admiral stamp—a standout piece certain to attract attention from advanced collectors of Canada’s definitive issues.
Viewing continues today, Oct. 22, at Longley Auctions’ Hamilton offices from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will also be available on auction day, Oct. 23, until 10 a.m.
Collectors can view photographs of large lots and download the complete auction catalogue through the firm’s website at longleyauctions.com.
