With the Feb. 20 entry deadline fast approaching, exhibitors are being urged to submit their applications for the Edmonton Spring National Stamp Show, set for March 21–22, 2026, and shaping up as a key exhibiting opportunity on the national calendar.
The Edmonton Spring National will be the only national-level stamp exhibition held in Western Canada in 2026 and carries added significance as a World Series of Philately (WSP) event. If the show reaches 100 or more frames, the winner of the Grand Award will earn the final qualifying spot for the American Philatelic Society’s 2026 Champion of Champions exhibition.
“This is the last chance for exhibitors to qualify for Champion of Champions through a World Series of Philately show in 2026,” said Stéphane Cloutier, the newly appointed exhibits chair. “That alone makes meeting the February deadline especially important.”
Hosted by the Edmonton Stamp Club, the show will take place at the Central Lions Senior Citizens Recreation Centre, at 113 St. and 111 Ave. Show hours run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The 2026 theme, St. Joseph High School – a 50-year relationship, marks five decades of Edmonton Stamp Club meetings held at the school. Exhibits that complement or reflect the theme will receive special recognition.
“We’re encouraging exhibitors to think creatively about how their material might connect to the theme,” Cloutier said. “Even an indirect connection can be meaningful and will be acknowledged.”
Exhibitors will be eligible for Royal Philatelic Society of Canada medal levels ranging from bronze through large gold, along with a range of specialized awards intended to broaden recognition across different collecting fields.
To assist judges and streamline evaluation, early submissions are strongly encouraged. The exhibit submission deadline is Feb. 20, 2026, and exhibitors are urged to include digital scans of their exhibits where possible.
“Submitting early, especially with scans, allows the judges to provide a more thorough and thoughtful analysis,” Cloutier said. “We’re looking forward to a strong and diverse exhibiting turnout.”
In addition to competitive exhibits, the show will feature stamp dealers from across Western Canada, circuit books, door prizes, a junior table, free stamp evaluations and a food bank donation box.
