Miele TriFlex HX1 Review: Best Cordless Vacuum For Busy Families
We had great hopes for the Miele TriFlex HX1 because Miele is among the Best Rated Vacuum Cleaners. The German producer's brand new cordless stick vacuum did not disappoint at first look, with a smart programmable 3-in-1 concept and a swish design that matches even the most competitive pressure.
Although the Miele TriFlex HX1 lacks the excessive strength to dethrone Dyson as the queen of cordless vacuums, its flexible design makes it distinct from the pack.
Price and competition
The most affordable Miele TriFlex HX1 is £479, however it just offers the most essential attachments. To go with your wall mount kit and charger adapter, you receive a crevice tool, an upholstery accessory, and a cleaning brush. Spend an extra £100 and you'll receive the Cat&Dog model, which has a smaller powered brush head (perfect for stair cleaning) and an LED light integrated towards the front corner of the motorized brush head.
The Miele TriFlex HX1 Pro is by far the most costly model in the lineup. This has everything above plus an extra battery and power station, enabling you to quadruple your cleaning times for £679, but it will leave a crater in your bank account.
Speaking about luxury cordless vacuums, the Dyson V11, one of the Best Rated Vacuum Cleaners: The Best for Cleaning, is the primary competitor to the HX1. Its price is around £500 to £600, similar to the Miele, but it includes a wider range of attachments, including three powered cleaning heads and a variety of brushes.
If you just want superb cleaning and don't want to spend a lot of money, the Dyson V10 would be our optimal option, and it comes with a lot of accessories. For example, the V10 Total Clean costs £480 and includes three motorized heads as well as a variety of different brushes. However, unlike the Miele, neither Dyson has a battery that can be removed.
Design and features
In terms of attachments, the Miele is not very generous, but it is unusual in the manner it can be taken to bits and rebuilt. The “comfort” mode, particularly, certainly makes things simpler to maneuver than a typical cordless. It has a light sensation in our palm as well as glides back and forth on all sorts of floors, from hardwood floors to deep pile rugs, with ease. This mode also has the advantage of being able to remain standing without the use of a wall mount.

When you do not use the vacuum, remove the motor unit, switch the handle and wand around, and then turn on “compact” mode to use the machine as a handheld or “reach” mode to become a stick vacuum for high spots like the cabinet’ heads. It's a creative design, however the width and shine of the different elements made it a little slick to manage sometimes, then reconfiguring the different bits without dumping them on the ground was tricky.
Despite being mostly composed of plastic, the Miele TriFlex has a substantial feel to it, with all of the parts clicking along with believable firmness. Unlike some Dyson vacuum cleaners, there seem to be no weak plastic cranks that cause damage.
If you find this Miele is one of the top 10 vacuum cleaners for you, do not hesitate. Buy it now!
