Everyone has one stamp that seems better than all the rest. For me is the famous Imperial penny postage Christmas stamp. I’m not sure if the map of the world with the British Empire in red takes me back to my school days, or I just love that first official use of X-Mas, but I love it.
How about you? Tell me about your favourite stamp, and why.

I have two favourites, both modern.

First, the 1979 Christmas stamp featuring the Wooden Toy Horse.
    1979 Xmas
This is the earliest stamp I remember from childhood, and brings me back to that time each time I see one.

Second, is the 2001, Christmas stamp.
    2001 Xmas
This was the Christmas after my first son was born, I really enjoyed sending out the Christmas cards that year.

I also have a fondness for the first stamp I remember, a Wilding definitive on a letter I mailed from Ottawa to Toronto.
