The Philatelic Specialists Society of Canada celebrated its 70th Anniversary Banquet in memorable fashion with special guest speaker Daniel A. Piazza, Chief Curator of Philately at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum in Washington, D.C. More than 50 attendees gathered at Toronto’s Old Mill Restaurant on Oct. 16 to enjoy Piazza’s captivating presentation, “UPU Specimen Stamps and the World’s Postal Museums: An Accidental History.” This milestone event honored the Society’s first meeting, which took place 70 years ago at the King Edward Sheraton.
