**IN-PERSON SHOW CANCELLED; LITERATURE COMPETITION TO BE JUDGED REMOTELY**

Chicagopex, the annual show and exhibition of the Chicago Philatelic Society, will be getting a boost in 2020. With the American Philatelic Society no longer involved in AmeriStamp Expo, which was established by the American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors (AAPE) in 1993, this year’s Chicagopex will also host AmeriStamp Expo. The show will accept more than the normal amount of single-frame exhibits and will include the World Series of Philately Single Frame Champion of Champions competition and the Single Frame Team competition, both started by the AAPE in 2006. Other societies convening at Chicagopex 2020 include the Military Postal History Society; American Society of Polar Philatelists; Women Exhibitors; and United Postal Stationery Society.

The 72nd Cathex show, sponsored by the St. Catharines Stamp Club, is set to return to the Garden City with 12 dealers. The show also boasts free admission, a youth area, club circuit books, a lunch counter and is fully accessible. It will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, limited numbers of people (a maximum of 30 collectors) are allowed in the building. All attendees must wear masks, register for contact-tracing purposes and use hand sanitizer, etc. Between eight and 10 dealers will be set up in three rooms. If you can, consider coming after the morning rush as there is no indoor place to wait. If you contact organizers for an afternoon meeting time for a particular dealer, they will try to book an appointment. There will be no snack bar, drinks or places to eat at this year’s show. Both admission and parking are free.
