Welcome to the CSN Lounge!

We’re excited to launch our series of live, podcast-style interview and panel events this October. We’ll host one event a month via Zoom with each one-hour session beginning at 7 p.m. (ET). CSN Editor Mike Walsh and reporter Jesse Robitaille will sit down with guests, including some of the biggest names in Canadian philately, to discuss hobby trends, goings-on and other hot-button issues that are top of mind for collectors, dealers, auctioneers, show organizers and other philatelic players.

Each session will close with a question-and-answer period moderated by CSN to allow guests an opportunity to ask questions of their own.

Phillips and attendees to discuss the stamp program, including this year and next year’s issues, plus how stamps are issued in terms of their distribution and release dates. They will also explore the immediate and long-term impacts the pandemic has had on Canada Post’s direction, including with the stamp program.

Best of all, the CSN Lounge is free to attend! Simply follow the instructions below to tune in via Zoom, and bolster your hobby alongside like-minded collectors.

INAUGURAL EVENT: WEDNESDAY, OCT. 20 AT 7 P.M.

On Oct. 20, CSN will host its first free virtual CSN Lounge featuring Canada Post Director of Stamp Services Jim Phillips, who’s set to retire the following month.

CSN Editor Mike Walsh, reporter Jesse Robitaille and Phillips will discuss Canada’s stamp program, including this year and next year’s issues, plus how stamps are issued in terms of their distribution and release dates. They will also explore the immediate and long-term impacts the pandemic has had on Canada Post’s direction, including with the stamp program.

“We hope all of our readers can tune into this free virtual event, the first of many, featuring the long-time face of the stamp program, Jim Phillips,” said Walsh. “While we wait to get back to major shows with speakers and presentations, CSN Lounge is a great opportunity to learn more about the hobby from people in the know while connecting with like-minded collectors.”

A question-and-answer period moderated by CSN will follow the interview.
