Lot 699 is a rare wartime registered cover mailed from Craig Harbour, N.W.T., on Ellesmere Island to Tanganyika Territory in East Africa via the Arctic supply ship Nascopie in 1940. The cover bears multiple censor markings, transit datestamps and signatures, including that of the "Bishop of the Arctic."
