The British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) has published the BNAPS Catalogue of Canadian Military Mail Markings, whose first volume – compiled and edited by G. Wayne Schnarr – covers early forts up to the Second World War.
The new book joins volumes two and three, produced by the late C. Douglas Sayles, to complete the catalogue of Canadian military mail markings. It covers early markings to 1909, militia camp and other military post offices in Canada from 1909-41 as well as the First World War Canadian Expeditionary Forces in the United Kingdom on the European continent in France, Belgium and Germany plus in Siberia. The final chapter covers First World War internment operations in Canada.
The series builds on earlier publications, including the two-volume Canadian Military Postal Markings (1881-1995) published in 1996 by Charles G. Firby Publications.
