The Greater Toronto Area’s largest postage stamp show was in Mississauga this past weekend for its spring 2015 gathering.
John Sheffield, a director with the CSDA and organizer of the National Postage Stamp Show, said the weekend went off without a hitch.
“The show is the largest in the region and it gives collectors a chance to meet with dealers they otherwise wouldn’t see at any of the local club shows in the Toronto area,” said Sheffield. “Like I said, we believe bigger is better.”
While offering collectors the chance to visit scores of dealers in one location, the National Postage Stamp Show also hosted the North Toronto Stamp Club’s (NTSC) 72nd annual exhibit.
“We partner with the NTSC to host their annual exhibit, so it gives those collectors a chance to show off what they’ve done and the collecting public a chance to take a peek at these collections, what’s being collected and how it’s being exhibited.”
Sponsored by the Canadian Stamp Dealers’ Association (CSDA), the Spring 2015 National Postage Stamp Show is the first of the CSDA’s biannual national shows. The second show is scheduled for November 6-8 at the same location on Airport Road in Missisauga.
