Long-time CSN columnist and consulting editor Ian Robertson will highlight his 36-plus-year stint with the national philatelic publication at a North Toronto Stamp Club (NTSC) meeting in late September.
Dubbed “The Stories Behind the Stamps,” Robertson will touch on aspects of his career as a stamp columnist with more than 1,800 articles written since March 1987. His regular “Looking Back” column tells stories about subjects on Canadian stamps while “Stamping Grounds” features a wide variety of topics. Published less frequently, his “News Bites” column explores stamps featuring people and incidents in the news while another occasional column, “Pot Pourri,” shares a variety of hobby related anecdotes.
The NTSC meeting with Robertson, who’s also the vice-president of the nearby West Toronto Stamp Club, will begin on Sept 28 at 7:30 p.m. (ET) at the Yorkminster Baptist Church in Toronto.
