After a one-year hiatus, the Essex County Stamp Club has hosted its annual show, Winpex, in Windsor, Ont.
“It’s wonderful, wonderful finally,” show-goer Janice White, of Mississauga, Ont., told the Windsor Star about the one-day event held on March 12. “There’s lots of hand sanitizers and everybody’s been very cautious and so I think it’s quite safe.”
The show featured more than a dozen dealers plus a youth area offering free stamps, a scavenger hunt plus a half-hour presentation, “How to Discover the World Through Stamps.”
The club cancelled last year’s show due to COVID-19; however, it was able to host its March 2020 show just as the pandemic began.
More recently, the club also returned to in-person meetings, which it hosts on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at the Community of Christ Church in Windsor.
