The Week in Shows (Sept. 17-23)

There is one major event on the Canadian philatelic calendar this week.

On Sept. 22, the Eighth Harry Sutherland Philatelic Lecture will be held at the Rosedale Golf Club on 1901 Mt. Pleasant Rd. in Toronto, Ont. International exhibiting couple Birthe King and Chris King—both Fellows of The Royal Philatelic Society of London (RPSL)—will present the lecture that evening at 7:30 p.m. The lecture is sponsored by the Philatelic Specialists Society of Canada and the Vincent Graves Greene Philatelic Research Foundation, which houses the Harry Sutherland Philatelic Library.

Chris King will be sharing news from The RPSL—specifically on their impending move to a new premises—and Birthe will be making a presentation on exhibiting postal history, historical postal history and open/display class exhibiting. There will also be a members’ show and tell.
