The Week in Shows (Oct. 30-Nov. 5)

It’s show season!

Later this week, from Nov. 4-6, Canada’s largest combined stamp and coin show – Nuphilex – will be hosted at Complex EVO on 420 Sherbooke St. W., in Montreal, Que. The show will run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, when admission is $3, and until 4 p.m. on Sunday, when admission is free. There will also be a sale conducted by Lower Canada Auction.

HAMILTON

Also being held later this week is the Hamilton Stamp Club Fall Show.

To be held Nov. 4-5 at St. Jean de Brebeuf Secondary School in Hamilton, Ont., the show is slated to feature silent and voice auctions as well as a 20-dealer bourse with stamps, postcards, covers and supplies. The Grand River Valley Philatelic Association (GRVPA) will also display its clubs’ circuit sales books at the show.

CHATHAM

On Nov. 5, Kentpex 2016 will be held at the Active Lifestyle Centre in Chatham, Ont. Hosted by the Kent County Stamp Club (Royal Philatelic Society of Canada Chapter 7), the show will run from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

ANN ARBOR

On Nov. 5-6, the Ann Arbor Stamp Club will host AAPEX 2016 at Morris Lawrence Building in Ann Arbor, Mich., which is less than an hour away from the border of Windsor, Ont., and Detroit, Mich. The show is slated to feature 29 dealers from nine U.S. states. Admission and parking are free.
