The Week in Shows (Nov. 20-26)

Collectors are showing no signs of slowing down as the cold weather blows in across the country.

Later this week, on Nov. 25-26, the International Stamp Show of Montreal, Exup 41, will be held at Maison du Citoyen on 7501 Rue François-Perreault in Montréal, Que. More than 15 dealers will be in attendance, and attendees are also invited to take part in a Canada Post raffle. The show is open from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday and until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

WATERLOO, ONT.

On Nov. 26, the Waterloo Region Stamp Club will host its Annual Stamp Show – known as “Stampfun” – at Royal Canadian Legion on 316 Marsland Dr., in Waterloo, Ont. The show will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and feature 10 dealers, a silent auction, door prizes and free admission.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

Also on Nov. 26 is the North Shore Numismatic Society Stamp, Coin and Collectibles Show. Hosted by the North Shore Numismatic Society, the show will be held at the Nikkei Centre on 6688 Southoaks Cres., in Burnaby, B.C., from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be dealers of stamps; postcards; covers; Canada coins; world coins; ancient money; medals; tokens; banknotes and more. Admission $2 (although children under 16 years old are free if accompanied by an adult), and free underground parking is available.
