The Week in Shows (March 4-10)

There are four major shows on the philatelic docket this week.

The Mississauga Coin and Stamp Show will be held today at John Paul II Polish Cultural Centre on 4300 Cawthra Rd. in Mississauga, Ont. Sponsored by the Troyak Club, the show will be open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and feature more than 30 dealers and 60 dealer tables of Canadian and world coins, banknotes, stamps and supplies.

NEW BRUNSWICK

On March 10, the Moncton Stamp Fair will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion on 100 War Veterans Ave. in Moncton, N.B. The show will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and includes free admission, free parking and a silent auction.

WINDSOR

Winpex 2018 will also be held on March 10 at the Caboto Club on 2175 Parent (at Tecumseh) in Windsor, Ont. The annual show of the Essex County Stamp Club, this event features 14 dealers, free admission, free door prizes and free youth activities with free stamps for school-aged children. The bourse will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

TORONTO

Rounding out the week in shows is the Spring Bourse to be hosted by the North Toronto Stamp Club at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church on 1585 Yonge St. in Toronto, Ont. on March 10.

The bourse will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and boasts more than 20 dealers, more than 100 sales circuit books—including recent issues—more than 100 10-cent books, a members table, door prizes (with a first prize of one kilogram of stamps) and free admission.

NEXT WEEK

Looking forward to next week, there will be three major shows on the philatelic calendar: the Spring Stamp Show and Sale will be held in Fredericton, N.B.; the monthly Burloak Stamp Fair will be held in Burlington, Ont.; and the Oxford Philatelic Society Stamp Exhibition 2018 will be held in Woodstock, Ont. Each of the shows will be held on March 17.
