There are three major stamp shows on the docket this week.
The first two shows take us to western Canada, where on Jan. 28 the Okanagan Mainline Philatelic Association Stamp Show and Bourse will be held at Winfield Seniors Centre on 9832 Bottom Wood Lake Rd., in Lake Country, B.C. The show will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and admission is free. An auction is slated to take place.
Also on Jan. 28, the Coin, Stamp and Collectibles Show will be held at the Nikkei Centre on 6688 Southoaks Cres., in Burnaby, B.C. Hosted by the North Shore Numismatic Society, the show will run 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and include coins, banknotes, tokens, medals, stamps, postcards, art, pins and more. Free underground parking is available, and admission $2 (although children 16-and-under are free if accompanied by an adult).
LONGUEUIL, QUE.
Rounding out the week’s shows is The International Stamp Show of Longueuil, which will be held at the Sandman Hôtel on 999 rue Sérigny Rd., in Longueuil, Que., on Jan. 28-29.
The show will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Jan. 28 and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on the following day. Admission is free. There are 12 dealers slated to attend the bourse.
