The Week in Shows (Feb. 25-March 3)

There are three major shows on the philatelic calendar this week.

Today is the North Bay Stamp and Coin Show, which is being held at the North Bay Elks Club on 325 Elks Ln. in North Bay, Ont. The bourse will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and feature stamps, coins, tokens, medals and related items. The show will also boast dealers from across Ontario, stamp exhibits, a youth table and stamp and coin appraisals. Admission and parking are free.

TORONTO POSTCARD CLUB

Today is also the 37th Annual Toronto Postcard Club Show, which is being held at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre on 6 Garamond Crt. in Toronto, Ont. Hosted by the Toronto Postcard Club, the event is Canada’s largest vintage postcard show with 40 tables featuring thousands of postcards from many countries and covering many topics.

The bourse will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $5, and parking is free.

AMERISTAMP EXPO

Lastly, today is also the final day of the APS AmeriStamp Expo, which is being held at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex on 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. N. in Birmingham, Al. The show boasts 30 dealers, a dozen societies and 40 meetings and seminars. The bourse will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is free, but registration is required.
