As summer fades and show season begins to heat up once again, philatelists are being treated to one of the biggest philatelic events of the year.
Later this week, from Sept. 1-3, the 69th annual British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) Convention will be held in conjunction with Caltapex and jointly hosted by the Calgary BNAPS Regional Group and the Calgary Philatelic Society (CPS). The show will be held at the Hyatt Regency on 700 Centre St. in Calgary, Alta.
The show’s theme is the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation, and organizers say there will be a range of exhibits relating to BNA topics as well as worldwide exhibits by CPS members.
In addition to a competitive exhibition, there will be a bourse of more than 15 dealers from various parts of the country. BNAPS will also co-ordinate a variety of meetings of its various study groups as well as other activities such as tours and dinners.
