The Week in Shows (May 27-June 2)

There are three shows on the philatelic docket this week.

Today is the 59th Annual Collectors Show, which is being held at Kent Theatre Chinese Culture Centre on 24 Cobourg St. in Saint John, N.B. Open from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., the show will boast nearly 30 tables of stamps, coins, sports cards and militaria as well as “several out of town dealers,” according to organizers. Children are admitted free of charge and will be given a small gift for attending.

Later this week, on June 2, the Coins, Stamps and Collectibles Show will be held at Nikkei Centre on 6688 Southoaks Cres. in Burnaby, B.C. Hosted by the North Shore Numismatic Society, the show will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and feature 40 tables of stamps, postcards, coins, banknotes, tokens, medals, art, pins and more. Admission is $2 (or free for children aged 16 and under if accompanied by an adult) and free underground parking is available.

Also on June 2, the Scarborough Stamp Club will host a show at Cedarbrook Community Centre on 91 Eastpark Blvd. in Toronto, Ont. Open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., the show boasts four dealers, no admission charge and plenty of free parking. Club circuit books will also be available.
