Thailand Post to give away free sets of commemorative stamps, postcards

In memory of the late Bhumibol Adulyadej, who was King of Thailand since 1946, Thailand Post has printed 9,999,999 commemorative stamps and postcards to distribute among the public at no cost.

The free postcards will come affixed with a one-baht stamp depicting Adulyadej in military uniform. The postcard will also have a cancel dated Oct. 13, 2016, the day the former king died.

Thailand Post President Samorn Terdthampiboon said the stamps and postcards will be handed out for free – one per person – via online registration as well as at all postal offices across the country from Nov. 7-30.
