Canada Post has updated its 2023 stamp program.
In early March, the Crown corporation announced a forthcoming issue teased by Canada Post as highlighting “women who made a difference” will be postponed from April until August. Instead, an issue described as featuring “animal mothers and babies” will come in April.
The past two issues continued annual series: Canada Post’s fifth Eid stamp since 2017 came on April 3 while the long-running “Flowers” series – first named in 2007 – featured the ranunculus on two stamps on March 1.
Overall, Canada’s 2023 stamp program will feature more than half a dozen annual series joined by several new issues, including the first Charles III definitive, which is due in May. The annual Canada Post Community Foundation semi-postal stamp will also come in May.
As of late March, Canada Post has yet to announce issue dates or first-day locations for any of its upcoming issues.
