Stamp club programs focus of next stamp panels

The Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC) will host the next edition of its Stamp Panels series, focusing on Stamp Club Programs, on Monday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. EDT.

Sponsored by Longley Auctions, the panel will feature four experienced philatelists, each offering their unique insights:

Dianne Earl, president of the Fredericton Stamp Club and a key organizer of the 2024 Royal, will draw from her extensive experience. Earl began collecting at age 12, took a break in her teens, and returned to the hobby 26 years ago, expanding her worldwide collection. John Sheffield, who started collecting at age nine, serves as Chair of the Program Committee for the newly amalgamated London-Middlesex Stamp Club. A member of the Canadian Stamp Dealers’ Association since 1985, Sheffield brings deep expertise in stamp trading and club leadership. Bruce Pollock, president of the Victoria Stamp Club, has contributed extensively to the PHSC Journal and the BNAPS BC Postal History Study Group. His philatelic interests align with his passion for travel and photography. Sid Mensinga, president of the West Toronto Stamp Club, has led the club through significant growth, making it one of Canada’s most active philatelic communities.
The Stamp Panels series aims to promote learning, collaboration, and engagement within the philatelic community. Attendees are invited to suggest topics for future panels, and those interested in presenting can submit their ideas.
