With COVID-19 social restrictions easing, the Best Western Stamp Show will open its 43rd season as scheduled on Sept. 19.
Open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., the regional stamp show is typically held five times a year at St. Catharines, Ont.’s Best Western Hotel. The event has been sponsored by dealer Roy Houtby, owner of Roy’s Stamps, since 1977; however, this September, several new protocols will be in place.
All attendees must wear masks at all times, and anyone without a mask will be provided one. To maintain physical distancing, entry to the show will be controlled (with a maximum of four patrons allowed at the bourse tables at one time).
Hourly appointments for the bourse chairs are encouraged. To make an appointment, call Houtby at 905-934-8377.
Four additional customers will also be allowed to peruse the show’s lots, collections and supplies section. All attendees must also sanitize their hands and register for contract-tracing purposes before entering the bourse.
This September’s show will feature almost 200 new lots and collections plus one of the largest Canadian and British Commonwealth stamp stocks in the country.
Additional “Best Western” shows are also planned for each month this fall.
