Sheffield’s Stamp Auction is set to close its latest sale this Friday, Oct. 25, at 8 p.m. (EST), offering collectors a diverse range of philatelic treasures.
The auction features a variety of appealing lots, including useful collections, individual stamps, and complete sets, catering to both novice and seasoned collectors.
Among the highlights of this sale are impressive selections from Great Britain, encompassing both stamps and postal history, as well as a variety of worldwide dealer stocks. Canadian philately is well-represented, with an array of stamps, stampless covers, and other significant postal history items available for bidding.
“We’re excited about the range of material in this auction,” said Auctioneer John Sheffield. “Whether you’re looking for a specific piece to complete your collection or just starting out, we hope there’s something for everyone to discover.”
To view the sale or place a bid, visit Sheffield’s Stamp Auction website. Bidders are required to log in or register if they are new customers. Sheffield , who retired last year as the Executive Director of the Canadian Stamp Dealers Association, emphasized that “there’s no buyer’s premium in our internet auctions, and we don’t charge extra for credit card payments. It’s part of our commitment to keeping things simple and fair for collectors.”
For those looking to save on shipping costs, Sheffield’s is offering a local pick-up option for winning bidders. This option is especially useful for those interested in larger lots, allowing them to avoid potentially high shipping fees. “We understand that shipping can be a concern, especially for bigger items, so we’re happy to offer local pick-up as a way to make it easier for our customers,” added Sheffield. The auction firm is located in London, Ont.
