The Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC) is co-hosting a Postal History Symposium, a collaborative effort with the Postal History Society of Canada (PHSC).
This groundbreaking event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9, from noon to 7:30 p.m. EST and will be conducted virtually via Zoom.
RPSC president Redner emphasized the society’s commitment to fostering collaboration with other philatelic organizations in Canada.
“One of the key focuses of the RPSC Board of Directors is to find ways in which our society can work collaboratively with other philatelic societies in Canada. With this in mind, I am thrilled to announce the first joint Postal History Symposium,” Redner stated in his president’s message, published in the summer issue of the RPSC’s newsletter.
Redner said the symposium is designed to engage collectors at all levels, offering three concurrent speaker sessions tailored to beginner, intermediate and advanced collectors. Each level will feature four 50-minute sessions, aiming to bring the fascinating world of postal history to life for a diverse audience. Special emphasis will be placed on featuring voices that are less familiar to the philatelic community.
A detailed schedule of the symposium will be provided in the RPSC president’s September newsletter. Redner highlighted that, like the society’s webinar series, the symposium is open to all collectors and is free of charge. “Our hope is to make postal history accessible and engaging for collectors of all levels,” Redner added.
