Trevor Larden, a long-time executive member of the British Columbia Philatelic Society (BCPS), which he served as president for eight years, died on Aug. 15 at age 87.
“To many of us, Trevor has been a long-time executive on BCPS and a major reason why there was a Vanpex in 2019,” reads a statement issued by the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada, of which the BCPS is chapter #31.
Also a life member of the BCPS, Larden received an RPSC Volunteer Award in 2019.
“We had many delightful conversations at our stamp club meetings, particularly on auction nights,” wrote Eric Ranger, of New Westminster, B.C., in an online memorial. “He was a very active member and served in a number of positions over the years. His enthusiasm always shone … in whatever he undertook. The club has lost a very fine, dedicated member and will be missed by all.”
