Earlier this year, Armenia’s national postal service HayPost issued a stamp celebrating the 300th anniversary of the establishment of the Mekhitarist Congregation on St. Lazarus Island.
Issue on Oct. 23, the stamp was designed by Vahe Muradyan and printed by France’s Cartor. Each stamp measures 40 mm by 30 mm, and there is a print run of 40,000 stamps.
The stamps were cancelled at the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (also known as the Matenadaran) during the celebration of the 300th anniversary of establishment of the Mekhitarist Congregation in Venice. The stamp depicts the image of the congregation itself.
