Mary-Anne Penner, a 32-year career postal worker, has been named permanent director of the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) stamp program, a job to which she was appointed on an interim basis last April.
The announcement, released by the USPS about a week ago, said Penner has held a variety of field and administrative positions – ranging from marketing to operations, business service networking and now the famed stamp program – giving her “well-rounded experience with our stamp program from perspectives throughout the organization.”
Penner was appointed acting director of stamp services by U.S. Postmaster General Megan Brennan on April 11, 2015.
