Four philatelists recently received an invitation to add their signatures to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists (RDP), generally considered the world’s highest philatelic honour, this May in Sweden.
Founded in May 1921, the RDP is comprised of prominent philatelists who are recognized for their achievements and service to philately. This year’s honourees are:
- Alan Warren, of the U.S.;
- Prakob Chirakiti, of Thailand;
- Guy Dutau, of France; and
- Hany Salam, of Egypt.
These four philatelists will sign the RDP, the first signatory of which was King George V, on May 31 during a ceremony at Stockholmia 2019 in Sweden.
