Earlier this year, eBay unveiled its new “standard envelope,” a low-cost trackable shipping option for items weighing up to three ounces—but so far, it’s a U.S.-only offering.
Aimed at sellers of stamps, covers, postcards, coins, banknotes and trading cards, the eBay standard envelope is less expensive than the U.S. Postal Service’s first-class package service. With integrated tracking and shipping protection, it can fit up to 10 stamps, three postcards or covers or plate blocks fitting the envelope dimensions; however, no coils, sheets or graded stamps are permitted.
There are currently no plans for a Canadian counterpart to the eBay standard envelope.
