After a pandemic- and venue-driven hiatus, the Collectors Club of New York (CCNY) has announced the return of its single-frame competition this November.
The club has the opportunity to invite up to 50 single-frame exhibits for a full-day public display on Nov. 4 at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum (NPM) in Washington D.C. The competition will coincide with this year’s NPM Gala, the Smithsonian Philatelic Achievement Awards plus the 20th Maynard Sundman Lecture, where lifelong collector Cheryl Ganz, the president of the American Philatelic Society, will speak on “U.S. Zeppelin Postage Stamps.”
For more details about the NPM Gala, visit postalmuseum.si.edu/gala.
For the single-frame competition, there are no frame fees, and CCNY members may submit up to two entries with a deadline of Oct. 6. Full details, including application forms, are available at collectorsclub.org/ccny-npm. Exhibitors will vie for the Grand Award, Reserve Grand Award, several awards of merit and the Holyoake Friendship Cup for the “most popular” exhibit.
