Canada Post has announced it will maintain stamp prices at 2020 levels through 2021.
Stamp prices for letters mailed within Canada and weighing less than 30 grams will remain at 92 cents when purchased as part of a booklet, coil or pane (or $1.07 when purchased individually).
Stamp prices for letters, cards and postcards sent to the United States and other international destinations will also remain the same.
SOME RATES INCREASED
Effective Jan. 11, domestic meter rates will increase by 1.2 per cent, and commercial lettermail rates will see “modest” increases, according to a statement issued by Canada Post on Jan. 8.

For parcels, the weighted average price increase for domestic parcels is 3.9 per cent. For parcels sent to the United States and other international destinations, the weighted average price increase is one per cent.

“Canada Post understands the importance of the delivery services it provides,” adds the Jan. 8 statement. “Following our annual review, we worked to minimize the impact of price changes on all customers, particularly small businesses.”
Canada Post also invited small businesses seeking support or special discounts on shipping and other services to register for the free Canada Post Solutions for Small Business program.
