Grégoire Teyssier’s exhibit, An Overview of Canadian Continental Postal Rates from 1763 to 1851 through Quebec City Post Office, was recognized as the best of the best at this year’s Royal *2024* Royale exhibition.
He was presented with the Grand Award by Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC) President Gregg Redner at the Palmares on Sept. 21, achieving an impressive score of 95.
Paul Sarjeant received the Reserve Grand Award for his exhibit, Separation Anxiety: Miss-Cuts, Pre-Cuts & Mis-Perfs in Britain’s Line Engraved Stamps, which earned a score of 92.
The Single Frame Grand Award went to Robert Lunn for his exhibit, The Prince Edward Island Post Marks of Charlottetown: 1814-1872, which scored 91.
In addition to these top honours, numerous other exhibit awards were handed out during the awards banquet at this year’s Royal Philatelic Society of Canada’s annual convention, hosted by the Fredericton & District Stamp Club. The list of winners is available on the convention website.
