The Union of Slovak Philatelists (USP) has announced it will host a national-level exhibition with international participation next June.
The exhibition will take place during the Bratislava Collector’s Days, the largest Slovak collector’s market, on June 2-4, 2023, in Bratislava, the capital of the Central European country. It will mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the independent Slovak Republic, which became independent during the dissolution of Czechoslovakia on Jan. 1, 1993. Aside from the USP, the show’s organizers include the Slovak Post (Slovenská pošta), which was created alongside the country on the first day of 1993.
“Several world rarities as well as a cross-section of the history of philately in Slovakia will also be presented at the exhibition,” said USP Chair Pavol Lazar.
The exhibition is open to all exhibits, including single-frame exhibits, across each class and age group.
Exhibitors must register by Jan. 31, 2023, with Lazar at zsflazar@gmail.com or Peter Osusky, the exhibition’s general commissioner, at peter.osusky@yahoo.sk.
