APS seeks comments on updated judging manual

The American Philatelic Society (APS) will be seeking comments about the revised guidelines to its Manual of Philatelic Judging and Exhibiting until May 1.

A 71-page draft of the manual’s seventh edition has been posted to the APS website. All comments can be sent to Dr. Ed Andrews via email (afacinc@yahoo.com) or snail mail (see address below). They must be received by May 1 to be considered by the committee for inclusion in the draft.

The revised manual should be finalized by July 1, although it will not be considered by the APS until Aug. 3, when the board of directors meets in Portland, Ore. during APS Stampshow 2016.

If all goes to plan, the seventh edition of the Manual of Philatelic Judging and Exhibiting will take effect on Jan. 1, 2017.
