The American Philatelic Society (APS) and American Topical Association (ATA) have joined forces for StampShow 2018, which will be held in conjunction with this year’s National Topical Stamp Show on Aug. 9-12 in Columbus, Ohio, which is only about a five-hour drive from the Canada-U.S. border in Fort Erie, Ont.
StampShow marks the 132nd annual convention of the APS. Each year, stamp collectors, exhibitors, historians and members of the public gather to socialize, increase philatelic knowledge and exchange stamps. This year’s show will feature more than 100 dealers, including at least two from Canada; as well as a number of attending societies; live auctions; competitive literature and philatelic exhibits; more than 100 meetings and seminars; and first-day-of-issue ceremonies for new U.S. stamps. The show is free to attend.
