2024 Unitrade catalogue expected in late October

The 2024 Unitrade Specialized Catalogue of Canadian Stamps is slated for a late October release.

Retailing for $74.95, this year’s edition comes as the long-running company has been put up for sale with owner Gino Casa planning to retire in November 2024.

“It has been our pleasure serving the stamp and coin collecting community throughout the years and hope that we have left an enduring legacy with our quality products and one-of-a-kind customer service,” reads a notice published on the Unitrade website, unitradeassoc.com, earlier this year.

Working in manufacturing and product sales for nearly half a century, Casa owned Unitrade since the late 1980s.

The 2024 catalogue, which lists all Canadian and pre-Confederation stamps plus many postal history items, also features tens of thousands of specialized listings, including varieties, condition grading variables and issue formats with corresponding valuations.

This year’s edition had also added dimensions, including width and height in millimetres, for each stamp and souvenir sheet issued by Canada Post. This information was obtained either from Canada Posts product announcement brochures or via digital measurements.

Another new addition includes the pricing of On His/Her Majesty’s Service perforated initials by position.

Coin and Stamp Supplies, a division of Trajan Media, will soon have the catalogue available to order at coinstampsupplies.com.
